Beginning as a church plant in 2011 with just a handful of people, The Pentecostals of The Woodlands has grown exponentially becoming a relevant and effective conduit for the power and grace of God by engaging the community, motivating people to become great in God, and activating them to fulfill His mission in their lives. We have outgrown three facilities in seven years and believe that God has positioned us for this very hour.
We understand that the New Testament church is not all about buildings and programs. We believe it is about engaging, motivating and activating God's people! It is the priority of The POW to meet the spiritual needs of this community—to the elder as well as the child, to every individual without regard to gender, race, or social status. No matter your background or beliefs, God is using The POW to radically change the way church is done.
There are many facets to The Pentecostals of The Woodlands commitment to reaching The Woodlands and surrounding areas. Events are strategically planned for the express purpose of serving the community and strengthening the church family. We also believe that we do not have all the answers, but the Bible does! With that, we engage in Bible Study in homes, workplaces, and at the church so that we can activate God throughout our active lifestyles.
The POW is also committed to ministering to every age demographic. The dedicated KaPOW Kidz staff engages, motivates, and activates children of all ages. The EmPOWer Youth ministry, made up of junior-high and senior-high students, are engaging teens and young adults through healthy events and community involvement. Our POWerhouse Hyphen group of College and Career Adults is consistently activated throughout our region. And don't think that the Young Marrieds and Keenagers are left out, we engage them to throughout the year.
In addition to our calling and responsibility to The Woodlands and surrounding areas, The POW is committed to being a globally-minded church. The POW has an active missions program supporting missionaries worldwide and here in America. Finally, The POW envisions itself as a multicultural, multi-generational church. We understand that the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ was promised to every tribe and to every nation (Revelation 5:9). Many people remark how refreshing it is to come and worship in a church that is diverse in race, age, and culture.
The POW is a dynamic, engaging community of believers from all walks of life, committed to sharing the Gospel with all through a variety of activities, programs, and events so that “whosoever wills” can have their spiritual needs met.
